Until several weeks ago, I thought podcasting was interesting but didn't really see the point - after all, online .mp3 files, internet radio and other online audio content have been around for several years. As the hype has increased the last several months, I figured I'd buy a high capacity mp3 player and see what it's all about.
I'm hooked.
Podcasting combines the best things I've always enjoyed about radio with the vast worldwide access of the internet. I now subscribe to about 25 different podcast channels with varied specialty interests. The aggregator automatically downloads the new broadcasts to the computer as they appear and then from the computer to my mp3 player when I plug it in to the usb cable.
Of course, one of my favorites is 4 cast at
www.4-cast.tv by Eric Brickson and Alan LeVezu. Not only is it about one of my favorite things, they do a great job as hosts and have a quality show format. If you haven't had the chance yet, I'd encourage you to check it out.
